Up for sale is a brand new condition Nikon Mount for the sgpro adapter. I am selling it for £45/$65 (rrp £59.25/$85.36) including shipping and tax to UK/America. Other countries, pm me.
it looks as though it's not the new one. it's newer than mine (mid 2008) because it's not an m39 adapter. but it's not the new steel mount and it doesn't have the collimation ring....
Yeah i didn't think it was. Could someone explain to me what a collimation ring, what it looks like and does it come on all the new sgpro mounts? I bought a brand new fd mount yesterday and i can't see a 'ring' as such?
As for the one i'm selling, im open to offers so get in contact with me if anyones interested.
It is not the new steel mount, but I think it have internal collimination ring.
That is the screw-ring in the middle at the bottom pic of mount.
When you un-screw it, you are making distance longer..
Yeah, i saw that ring there and i could twist it, i thought it may have been the collimination ring but i wasn't sure. Thanks for clearing that up as i didn't know what it did
That turning ring in the middle is not the collimation ring, I have it on all of my old mounts(I bought the first batch of sgpro rev.2).
You can turn it, but that's because you are then able to screw on and off the tip of the mount easily without having to remove the 3 screws which attaches the entire lensmount to the adapter everytime you want to change lensmounts.
The tip of the mount has to be screwed all the way in or else it will be loose.
On the new steel mounts the collimation ring is the widest piece in the back which you can loosen with a setscrew and then turn it to you have set proper backfocus and then tighten the setscrew again.
Oh okay, well in that case i am open to offers. If anyone is interested, just pm me with a price. By the way, does every new mount come with a collimation ring, because i just bought an FD mount off the shoot35 site and there isn't any sort of ring on that.
