I've switched from a Panasonic HMC150/Letus Extreme/Zacuto Rails to a Video DSLR so I don't need something so heavy duty (it supports up to 22 pounds!). This tripod head has been a dream to use and works perfectly. It was purchased last year and has been used gently. There is a cosmetic blemish on the tilt knob. The thin plastic cap has a cut in it, but it hasn't affected performance in any way.

• Continuous adjustable pan and tilt friction knob (from 0 to max level)
• Separate pan and tilt locks
• Sliding quick-release plate
• Built-in leveling bubble
• Maximum payload of: 22.0 lb

4 Days Left Bump. By the way, this is the fluid head that I upgraded to from a Manfrotto 501 because of the additional weight from the Zacuto baseplate and Letus adapter I was using. Tilting became much easier with the 516 and very difficult to perform on the 501.

3 Days Left Bump. I just received a PM from another member who's looking to upgrade from the 501 fluid head:

"I have the 501 head at present and have just bought a M2 and the current head really is not up to the job."

Also, for those that may not be aware the 516 has true fluid cartridge's where the 501 and such use friction discs. So that makes this a true fluid head.

I just had a look at the photo's on eBay. Is the cosmetic blemish and slight cut that you refer to in the last photo on the right. I can't see any other marks and infact the unit looks in mint condition other than that very small cut.

Yep. The last picture is a close up of the cut. It's a plastic like sticker. That's the only issue it has. Other than that, it's almost mint.

I own one it's great! So smoooooth but I need the same quick release plate for my glidecam anyone know where I can make this work
