Duclos is highly regarded in the film industry for its lens modifications and service. This set generally centers around the Elmarit f/2.8 versions of each lens with the exception of the legendary 50mm Summicron f/2. In some instances, a good case can be made that the Elmarits are optically superior to the more expensive Summicron and Summilux lenses (IE: the 90mm), and with today's digital sensors, wider apertures are often unnecessary. Leica R lenses are a great option for modern cameras, given that they can cover a full-frame sensor, are adaptable to different lens mounts, are light and compact but built like a tank, and offer a creamy, painterly, “Leica look” that compares favorably to Cooke cinema lenses but with a much more affordable price tag.

Aperture De-Click / Dampen
Aperture de-clicking is a vital part of the Cine-Mod. A true cinema lens features a step-less aperture that allows fine adjustment without "clicking" between f-stops. Duclos Lenses modifies the aperture movement by removing the "click" mechanism and damping the movement to create a consistent, creamy rotation. We use a high-quality lubricant to ensure a professional feel and operation of your lens.
Focus Gear
Our seamless 32-pitch (0,8 module) focus gears are precision machined from solid Black Delrin®, tailored to each lens individually in-house to ensure a no-slip, non-binding reliable fit. Every gear is machined and installed by a skilled technician on an individual basis to ensure a lifetime of accurate operation. No zips, clips, or 3D prints from Duclos Lenses!
Canon EF/EOS Mount
Professionally installed and calibrated mounts, made by Leitax. Can mount to any Canon EF camera.
Finally, I’m including protective cases for each lens by Ape Case, Hoya Pro-1 Digital UV filters, and front and rear lens caps, unless otherwise noted. These lenses have been gently used by a professional and stored in dust-proof cases and climate-controlled environments.
