I recently purchased a Konvas 1M from an individual who is an Instructor of Film Studies at The University of Texas at Arlington and a Former DP with Disney Studios. This camera is in excellent condition. He told me it had very little use and it looks like it's brand new to me. It's in excellent condition and judging from the rest of the equipment in this man's personal collection, he's taken very good care of the camera and it's been maintained and stored very carefully.

I purchased this camera and lens set with hopes of using it for more film work. However, I don't think I'm going to have a use for it. I was hoping to have time for more 35mm work on upcoming projects, but I really just don't think I'm going to have time to put this camera to good use.

This is a Russian-made copy of the French Eclair Cameflex design. This is an OCT18 lens mount. From the research I've done and what I've been told, you can have the lenses converted to PL for use on 35mm adapters. There are resources for mount options through rafcamera.com, as well as resources through the RED discussion forums for individuals who are making mount options for RED Cameras.

Here's what's included:

  • Russian-Made Konvas 1M Cinema 35mm Camera (Serial # 713349) with 3 Lens Turret Design
  • Rails System with extendable rails
  • Mattebox
  • Strap
  • (2) 400" Magazines
  • (6) 200" Magazines
  • Power Cord
  • Wooden lens box with extra equipment including an additional gate, hand winder and small tools.
  • (7) Lomo Lenses:
    28mm - 2.0 - # P061
    35mm - 2.0 - # OKC1-35-1
    50mm - 2.0 - # OKC1-50-1
    75mm - 2.0 - # OKC1-75-1
    75mm - 2.0 - # OKC1-75-1 (different type of lens??)
    100mm - 2.0 #P018-2
    135mm - 4.0 #N7106736

These are the numbers off the lenses. All of the lenses look to be in pretty good shape. There are a two with a couple of very small spots on the lens, but I was told that a good cleaning and maintenance could address those issues. I'm going by what I was told by the original owner. But for the most part, the rest of the lenses look excellent with the apertures opening and closing very smoothly.
Two of the magazines still have film in them. One of the 400" mags looks like it's fully loaded. How old the film is, I don't know. What type of film, again...I don't know.

The pictures I'm attaching shows 8 lenses in the shot. The middle large lens is a 135 PL mount that the seller gave to me. I'm keeping it for use with one of my other cameras.

So...if anyone's looking for a great film camera and lens set. Here's one looking for a good home.

I am asking $2,200.00 plus shipping from Dallas. I will ship in a Pelican Case with pick-n-pluck foam for protection of the camera and lenses. I have an extra one sitting here I will throw in.

I've pretty much included all the information I know about this camera to the best of my ability. The camera is sold as is.
