FS JibOne camera Crane

I bought a JibOne camera crane for my HVX200 and, after some experimentation, decided that it doesn't suit my needs, so I'm selling it.

Price: $95 plus $20 shipping. (no stand or weights).

This jib sells new for $249 + $22 shipping new from cinemagrip.com, I paid $125 plus $20 shipping a couple of weeks ago, new from a DVXuser. I unpacked it, played with it, substituted some thumbscrews for the supplied nuts (for ease of assembly/disassembly) and tried to drill a second, 5/8" hole at the camera mounting bracket. The drill attempt was unsuccessful, due to not having the right kind of drill bit, and left a slightly ugly unfinished hole. But the jib is brand new other than this cosmetic flaw.

I think that a DVX100 or lighter camera would work great with this crane, but I would caution you to have realistic expectations if you want to "fly" an HVX200. The jib will support a 200, but it will be difficult to tilt smoothly (top-heavy).

Features:

-8 foot long, folds down to about 4 feet. Sets up in a couple of minutes.
-mount it on a tripod using a 1/4 bolt, or better yet...buy a speaker stand from Guitar Center for about $30...it looks and specs out identical to the stand JibOne sells for $80, and it works great. I'll give you all the particulars.
-You can tilt while operating from the rear of the jib with the lever, or lock it to keep the camera level.
-you should be able to use a lightweight pan/tilt head with a 1/4 inch tie-down bolt, if you want to pan and tilt the camera while operating from the front. Or lock down the head at the desired angle and operate from the back.
-weighs only 15 lbs (not including weights)

Weights not included, but it's set up for your typical barbell plates. Figure about 2.5 pounds for every pound of camera weight.
