FS in NJ/NY: Canon XL1

I bought this like-new Canon XL1 used from someone on the DVInfo.net board about 2 years ago. He said he bought it new and it had no more than 10 hours on it, mostly because he found it too cumbersome for kids' school videos and such, and because he preferred still photography.

A month later the HVX200 came out and I was smitten and bought one. So I never even used the Canon camera beyond shooting 15 minutes of tape to make sure it worked well. It has been in its case in a closet ever since.

I would prefer to sell this in the local area (New Jersey/New York City) so I don't have to deal with shipping.

I'd also consider a trade, depending on the camera, but I want to use the funds toward a DVX100B.

I have a few extras (case, Manfrotto tripod) but I can keep those for other things, or throw them in. I'm keeping this general because I doubt there is much interest, but I can provide more specifics to interested parties.

I'm looking to get $1400-1600 for it. I can send photos on request.

Thanks, diuhbolical. I just got one local nibble and my fallback is taking it B&H in New York, but if those don't work out I might go for eBay.
 
B&H said "up to $1200" but I have to get into NYC when their used equipment office is open and I never seem to get there. I'll take some pix later today or tomorrow and post them.
 
Ebay is probably your best bet if you want to get a fair amount. Generally it's not a good idea to sell through a store's used department unless you're desperate as they will try to skin you for as much as they could. If you have to do it try Adorama's use department, but I wouldn't sell to B&H as they will severely undervalue your equipment. They offered me just $1500 on my six month old FX1 two years ago! Adorama will try to skin you as much as they can, but their offer will probably be much more generous than B&H.

I am not necessarily selling the other items but they are available for extra:
-Tripod: Bogen 501 head and 3033 legs (purchased used from B&H so they have some wear)
-Portabrace case for XL1.
-Canon MA-100 shoulder brace and XLR adapter for XL1
