This is a never rented Pilot, treated with loving care, never rented and used only by a pro. Includes second-edition improved arm.
Works beautifully with 5D, EX1, EX3, etc. If you don't know why this is way better than a Glidecam or any other look-alike, you've never tried a real Steadicam. For example, the amount of tension at the beginning and end of the arm movement does not vary - which is not the case for look-alikes, and balancing is much, much faster and precise. Clients also appreciate seeing a "real" Steadicam.
Reason for selling is we mostly just work with our Red now, with our Flyer, so it just sits there whereas someone else using a lighter camera could get great benefit from it.
Uses AA batteries, which last about 5 hours. Means no expensive V mount or Anton Bauer purchases, and/or you can just use your brick batteries for your camera and not tie them up with your Steadicam.
Duty/brokerage already paid - GST/PST also - this would cost you a lot in Canada if ordered from B&H
$3500 CDN - Cost me almost $5000 after all above fees and U.S. dollar conversion and BH shipping.
Pick up preferred (downtown MTL) or shipper pays real ship cost.
