A fellow dvxuser who I freelance with has a hvx-200 for sale. He ask if I would help get it posted so I said I would. The camera works fine and is in good shape. It has one issue and he has disclosed it below and gives you reasoning for his sell. I will get him to post total hours on the camera and tape heads Friday.

It did have the audio beeping issue with P2 cards and the manufacturer fix has been installed. It also has the firmware update installed for 16G P2 and higher.
NOTE:The only issue with the camera:
A friend laid a towel over the camera in order to protect from direct sunlight. What he didn't realize was that there was sand on the towel. Sand got into the focus mechanism. The camera was serviced at Spec-Comm. They did a fantastic job of cleaning out the mechanism. There is a negligible amount of resistance in a few places of the focus span due to minor damage by the sand. Whether it continues to deteriorate or how fast or slow it would do so is a gamble. I suspect it will work for a long time to come, most likely not deteriorate to a point of failure.
The reason I am selling the camera:
I have been working for four years as a producer on a musical called "That Other Woman's Child". Our show is an invited guest to the New York Musical Festival this fall. I wanted some emergency cash on hand. I don't need to sell the camera or necessarily want to. This is a legitimate shot at Broadway for me and I would feel better having more resources to make the trip uneventful, (meaning bad events). If I sell my motorcycle first, then I won't have to sell my camera.
