Formatt Matte Box FM-500 with the 72mm adapter ring
Retail: $380 (B&H)

Cavision 5-Pack of 4x4 Glass Filters: Polarizer, Soft Mist Black, Graduated Neutral Density, Graduated Blue & Graduated Orange
Retail: $180 (B&H)

The filters and matte box are around 8 months old and haven't been used very often. I'm asking $375 plus shipping for everything. I'd like to sell it all as a package but would consider splitting it up. I'm also looking for a couple of totas and maybe an omni light so if you've got those, maybe they could be factored into the deal somehow.

PM or e-mail me at go27p@hotmail.com for pictures, shipping, etc.

Thanks!
Brice

I'm sorry... what are you saying? The price is too low? It retails for $185 at B&H's site. I suppose I could list it for more but I'd like to move it soon so what the heck. Interested? :)

I'm sorry, but is the filter still sealed in its original unopened original box for seven months? Otherwise once the filter is used, it is used for seven months. I don't know if you have noticed, but B&H sells used 4x4 tiffen filters for no more than $79.00

I did check B&H's used department to see if I could get a handle on used pricing for the Black Pro Mist but didn't see it listed. Now I did see a few 3x3 filters in the $79 range. I also saw a Tiffen 4x4 812 Warming Glass Filter, which retails for $134 (some $50 less than my Black Pro-Mist) and it's going for $99 used... a mere $30 less than the new price. So I figured knocking the price on mine down by $85 would be a good price drop. I realize these are two different kinds of filters but is there something else I'm missing? Do the Pro Mists depreciate quicker than some other filters?

It's funny how a 4x4" slab of glass can depreciate in value so easily. It was only used maybe five times in seven months. At any rate, I'm glad you've posted... I appreciate your input on this. The last thing I want to do is come off like some kind of scheister! :)

It's tricky for filters. I have a selection of Tiffen and B+W 4x4's and 4x5.65's that I've paid between $10 and $75 on eBay. If there's a buyer out there for your filter, they'll pay it, but FYI eBay is swamped with cheap 4x4 filters from week-to-week.

Thanks powervideo, I've seen the quagmire of filters on eBay. I'd prefer to list and sell here, to the DVX Users of DVXuser. :)

Thanks for the info!

Bumpitty bump bump, bumpitty bump bump, look at Formatt go... to you!!

Okay, that was terrible.

Takers?

Hey New Arena, my apologies if I came off sounding a bit blunt, and critical to you.

Hey, if it is clean, and no marks, you should be able to get the price you are originally asking. You are right, it is funny how glass can depreciate, it is not like you are putting hours on a camera's tape drum. If there are no marks, then it should be sold like new. I have gotten horrible looking 4x4 filters off of ebay, that I myself would never consider selling to anyone.

Hey StrangeLove...

No prob... and you didn't come off that way at all. They're definitely clean... really only barely used. I've neveractually bought any filters via eBay myself but I can imagine. eBay's great for a lotta stuff... just gotta keep your eyes open sometimes. I've gotten burned a few times myself. Thanks for the input!

The Cavision filters just sold but the Formatt + 72mm adapter ring is still available. $275 PayPal... takers?
