Yes you can upgrade the software. I use it with my DVX 100b.

New this is $799 for a 40 gig version + $130 for the extra battery. Not to mention the value of the 120gig upgrade....

Not sure Krooked but you may need a FS-C for a canon XHA1.

Anyone here know if a FS-4 will work with a XHA1??????
