The clamp also attaches to a tripod plate to function as a way to use a tripod for a place to set the fig rig down to work on the camera. The levels are only taped so they may move a little, but they do help. The grips are in perfect shape.

$260 plus shipping or pick up in Los Angeles.

It may look a bit used but most of it is dust.

If anyone wants better pictures showing paint detail please ask.

sorry about that I jumped too soon - want to review the whole concept of fig rigs first. Seems folks don't like them much. I'll be in touch...

I know you didn't mean to trash my thread but, what's not to like? It is a matter of whether you need this sort of HH ability or not.

You can do things with a FigRig that you can't do with any types of support. If you know what you need you will know what this gear is worth (more than I am asking for).

If you want something that will let you do almost any move really smooth then you might want to look into a flyer of some sort, something like a flowpod or a merlin. They are a good purchase if you wish you could afford a steadycam but have to compromise.

Fig Rigs are not designed to give you that, but they can give quite a bit of it if you know how to move with them. They are much more suited for great action scenes and such because they tone down the HH effect for a shaky-camera look that won't make you throw up. You retain the feel of HH, but it is smoother, you can whip the camera around like it is the end of the world, and it feels solid like a rock.

You can also transition in and out of smooth flow-pod like operation. You are limited in that walking with it won't be as smooth as with a flyer, unless you get really good, or you suck with your flyer. I often use it for make shift slider moves, a little dolly action. It works very well, especially if you use your legs well.

Now, if what you need is a flyer, then just make sure your hand is UNDER the camera and not BEHIND the center of gravity or your wrist will fall off after a few moments.

Good luck finding the support that is right for you.

Dude wasn't trashing your thread or kit. Just decided to not make a rash decision (as I have been prone to do here) and just double check. I'm sure the gear is excellent whether it fits my needs or not is another issue.

Gotcha. I guess I may have over reacted a little, but I still don't understand why people post on for sale threads though. Others may misunderstand your post, and I am sure you wouldn't want that sort of comment on your thread if you were trying to sell something. Or filmmaker gang's post, which I guess was to point out that I should drop my price a bit further from retail (and I did) by reminding me that it is used. I have no issue with someone trying to talk me down, I try to get good deals too, but that sort of thing might be best done via PM. I guess that is why people are encouraged to talk about the sale of items via PMs. But I totally understand that this wasn't your intention.

Good luck with your future purchases though. I hope you make investments that you can feel good about and that help your work! Patience dude! I know how hard it can be, but it is best to buy right and buy once. ;)

as a fig owner i will say that when you need a fig, you REALLY NEED A FIG. like any other tool it is designed for certain kinds of use. it was never meant to replace a steadicam. so you can dismiss that argument straight away

this is a good deal on a good tool, from a reputable forum member - its one of those things you probably wont use every day, but when that need comes up - you'll be really happy you have it.

Thanks Wgzn.

That's how is was hoping people would see it. To be honest I don't even want to sell it. Especially since I feel it shouldn't even be discounted as much as I have it posted now. This is like buying a C-Stand you know, they don't get old, period. Someone might even make money on it when they sell it a year or so from now, especially with a Scarlet or Epic... it would be perfect. No skew, super light... Figgin' one of those would be a heluva lotta fun! I can offer money back guarantee on that one!

Unfortunately, I could use the money for other gear that I need even more. But I might change my mind and keep it. The price is sorta pissing me off.
