I hate to do this... but all in one day, I had my car break-down, a collection notice for medical bills, an expensive vet bill, etc. I'm a married full time student and I just have no other way of taking care of these financial obligations. So, unfortunately, I'm going to sell my gear:

Panasonic DVX100b - $2400 I've only had it for 6 months. Perfect condition. It has 35 hours on it. Bought it new for $3,399.95 (before rebate). Comes with Pelican hard case and extra battery. Also comes with everything it came with new: manual, charger, remote, etc. and DVX book by Barry Green and Magic Bullet and Red Giant Instant HD software.

Cartoni Focus Head/1-STG legs - $1000. Awesome head and sticks. Perfect condition. Bought them for $1,299.95.

Brevis 35mm adapter with HD achromat w/ Canon FD mount. Including 50mm 1:1.4 S.S.C lens, 28mm 1:2.8 S.C. lens, and 135mm 1:3.5 S.C. lens - $1000 - I just got this 2 months ago. It is awesome and it kills me to sell it. Dennis is amazing. I just don't see it worth keeping if I need to sell everything else. Again, perfect condition. Lenses are used, so normal wear from used lenses, but all work great with adapter.

Indie Snap Matte Box - $100. Great condition. I added two screws at bottom of matte box thinking I would build rail supports. I never did, so I just left the screws... they look like they are meant to be there, I just didn't want to have two tiny holes showing at bottom of mattebox. Paid $230.

PM if you are interested. Shipping isn't included obviously. I'll sell it all as a package if someone wants for $4200.

Hey dcartsens,

I'm in Kansas City, MO. Sure, you can get a Nikon mount for it from Cinevate.com if you wanted.

Thanks,
Brad

Dude,

Doesn't B&H sell DVX 100B's new for around same price you are asking?

...or am I misinformed?

So they do sell a brand new one for around the same price...thanks, Jade.

(I sort of knew the answer to my own question....it was largely rhetorical, since I have internet access and can look prices up.)

At $2400, I would just shell out the extra $250+tax and have some piece of mind. Even at $2200 I might still be tempted to pay the extra cash, knowing that it was pristine and new out of the box.
