FS: DVX100b 139 hours slightly damaged

Okay, So I have been going without a fisheye for to long. I finally have enough money to afford this swap. So for sale is a Damaged Dvx100b. There is very minimal cosmetic damage minus the obvious. The only damaged thing on the DVX is the threading mount. I heard it was either a $250 fix or almost $1000. I really don't know, but I would rather just sell this and buy another one with a fisheye. Everything works fine if not great. I loved this camera so much. As you can see there is a chipped/scratched area on the base of the camera probably from setting it on the ground. There is also a scuff on the side of the LCD from the first day I had it I opened the box and pulled out the camera and I was so excited it hit the side of my metal bed frame. I was so poo pooing livid haha. The manual focus has grown to be a little less smoothe but it still works fine. There is very little mic sag. I am the original owner of the DVX and I have owned it for exactly 1 year from 3-17-08. I have had very little dropped frames. I only ran Panasonic Tapes through this bad boi. It only has 139 hours on it!!! I have used the playback feature less then 10 times, ask my friends they hate me because of it. The only thing that you can't do with this DVX is use a fisheye unless you repair it. I will include owners manual, OG box, extra strap, charger, 1 battery, and the plug in battery...

Never captured with this camera!!!

I will ship the very day, or next day with shipping insurance, and delivery confirmation. I am very legit, ask anyone in my legit list.

I am willing to trade for DVXw/fisheye... or any other camera setups of DVX quality or better. Of course I add cash. This would be a great trade if you do not use your fisheye much...

Also if you are legitimately interested I will take better pictures of the front although it's kind of hard since it is all in a shadow on black.

What exactly is wrong with the front threads? What happened to the lens hood?

Can you take a properly lit picture of the lens? How did the damage occur?
 
The bayo, threading is tore apart therefor the lens hood cant screw on, but if you want I can include it. It is basically just a camera for sale lenses can't screw on. It is still a great camera. I will take better, tagged pictures tommorow. It got kicked out of my hands when filming some skateboarding with my 16x9 fishey atached which caused the threading and bayo to rip.
 
IMHO, you should perform a DIY repair in order to continue using the fish-eye lens. If you're going to continue to shoot skateboarding, you're probably going to also damage the next one. Maybe add in a DIY protector too. Alternatively, you could simply add fish-eye in post.
 
to replace the bayo and thread mounts you'd need to replace the entire VAP unit of the camera which will run you around $500, and since this is the DVX100b, and not the original DVX100, the part is still made by panasonic and can be found pretty easily.

I do have te original lens hood and could inclde it, although it cant screw in due to the damage, although you may be able to rig it up somehow. So yes I will include it.
