EVERYTHING IS SOLD
I have a ton of left-over DIY adapter items from my days of designing the Snod35. I was half tempted to throw most of it away, but I know that I would have killed for all of this stuff while I was building my adapter. Some of it is new, some used, some "junk".
Price is $80 (obo) for everything listed and shown below.
I am a long time DVXuser and have sold a handful of other items via the forums.
This is a package deal. Everything goes together. Sorry, I can't sell individual items.
This is a perfect grab bag for budding adapter designers or for those needing new ideas (and parts) for their current designs.
If you want to know more about the various items below, please read my overview for the Snod35 on my website.
All of the items in all of the images below come together in the grab bag.
Image below: Focusing elements
-Plano convex lenses (used as the focusing element in snod35). 4 have been ground with various grits of aluminum oxide, but can be reground with the desired grit. One of the plano covex lenses in clean and has yet to be ground. The are 2 or so more that are good for testing vibration patterns and such, but are not clean enough for much else.
-A box of slide glass (can be used for making wax GG’s. The slides scratch easily, but there are a few good ones in there still).
-A canon Ee focusing screen (no frame, just the screen).
-A piece of plastic from the infamous AOL cd cases (used as a focusing screen back in the day).
-Some Nikon F3 focusing screen frames and screws (in zip lock bag below).
-Some other stuff
Image below: Glass grinding goods.
-Thick, 4” x 4” piece of glass (to grind on).
-Aluminum Oxide grinding powder (3, 5, 12, and 25 micron grit). I do not know how long the powder stays good, but it has been kept neatly in zip lock bags and should be fine.
-500 grit silicon carbide.
Image below: Electrical
-Motors! 5, solorbotics vpm2 vibrating disc motors. 15, 7E096 vibrating disc motors (closest replacement for the now extinct Sanko motor used in the Snod35)
-Various battery packs and connectors.
-Various LED lights.
-Various rheostats.
-Bag of various resisters.
-Quick release wire connectors.
-Thin gauge wire (hard to find and easy to work with inside of an adapter).
Image below: Body parts.
-72mm spacer rings (as used in snod35 body). Three good ones, the rest have holes for LED lights, rheostats, wires etc.
-Several Asian +10 macro lens holders (most have small holes for wire outlet).
-1, Brand new Asain +10 macro (lens and holder).
-72-58 step up/down rings.
-72-55 step down ring.
-Nikon macro extension tube set.
-72mm metal lens cap (used to attach lens mount to).
-Nikon K-3 bayonet lens mount
-Various black plastic discs (most used as tests for different designs of snod35. Most have various holes and cuts for wires, lenses, etc).
-Other random body parts.
Imge below: Rods (for vibration assembly).
-6-32 nylon threaded rod.
-Super-elastic nitinol wire (various thicknesses).
-Various other pieces of metal and nylon rods.
Image below: Test lenses.
Various achromats, and plano convex lenses. Don’t ask me about the sizes, strengths, etc… I have no idea. You can read small print with them though or focus sunlight to burn ants (don’t start a fire though!). I did use several of them for testing different designs. Some are in good shape, and some are not.
