144 hours. My beloved DVXB met with disaster 4 days ago, and suffered several injuries.
1. The mic broke. However, it is still attached by wires, and works perfectly, but is hanging from the wires. The plastic broke.
2. The viewfinder broke. Just like the mic, the wires are still connected and it works perfectly.
3. The threads tore off, and my focus wheel and zoom ring broke. These are the only things that don't work. You have many ways of zooming so the zoom ring is a small price to pay, but the focus ring dosen't work at all. The lens is perfect and I screwed the wheel and ring back in, but it still dosen't work.
The sale includes 3 batteries, 1 generic and two long lasting ones, as well as all the original cables, and a tiffen UV filter. Also included is 3 fujifilm tapes (only they have been run through the DVX) and a hoodman for the LCD.
The mic and viewfinder work perfectly but are physically in bad shape, where the zoom ring and focus wheel don't work, but are in good shape.
Everything else is immaculate.
I got a repair estimate of $250-400. Now I sincerly doubt it will be over 300, but to be safe, I'm estimating the damedge at $350.
This is a chance to get a great deal on an otherwise perfect DVXB if you have the time, and a little extra money to get it fixed. I have neither.
First one to pay 1350 + fees gets it.
