Up for sale is my used set of Cinevate rods. The I can't compare the V1 to the V2 systems but I have used this set a lot and I'll tell you that it's rock solid, even if it doesn't look it. I've had My EX1 + Letus Extreme and lens with 2 mics and I've done it handheld in all kinds of angles and positions (not necessarily easy) but it hasn't ever made me feel like something might fall off or not support the load right.
It's long, about 2 feet.... which has it's plusses and minuses. It doesn't fit easily in most camera bags, but you can attach a lot of things in front of the camera with this length.
Asking $300 shipped anywhere in the US via paypal or meet in person for $280. I'm currently in Southern CA for a few weeks but I live in northern CA.
