FS: Cinevate Rails System

DC

Cinematographiliac
SOLD

This is a slightly used but well-kept rails system. I had been using this with my HVX200/Brevis rig. It is actually the previous generation rails system from Cinevate but still does the job.

I would imagine you could use it for other kinds of camera rigs as it is somewhat configurable. To be sure, I recommend that you consult directly with Dennis Wood of Cinevate. http://cinevate.com

This item is being sold "as-is." What you see is what you get.

Included:

(2) 15.8mm - stainless steel rods - 12" length

(1) camera plate (height adjustable)

(1) plate (attached to rod from camera plate)

(1) camara support mount (non-height adjustable)

(1) camera tripod plate

(1) rubber bumper covering bottom rod (aftermarket add-on)

- plus all allen bolts for fastening and adjusting.

hi, where do u live? . . . is that your final price?
I'm over in the North Hollywood area. Since it cost me significantly more to buy, I'd like to get at least $100 for it.

im certanly interested. i don't live in LA but i could pay for shipping. did you previously use brevis?
Yes, I was using an HVX200/Brevis with it.

I can ship it to you. I think $20 for shipping within the continental US plus 3% extra to cover the Paypal fee would suffice.

is the whole system in full working condition? i dont mind scratches and scuffs and if i wanted to put longer rails on the system with ordering through cinevate would that work? so pretty much whats the difference between that and the newer system?
The whole system is working fully. There is barely a scratch on it. You can also order longer rails for it, if you need them.

The new rails system has carbon fiber rails as opposed to stainless steel. They also made some changes with the camera bracket being height-adjustable. Some of the blocks are a little different in shape too.

All in all, the old rails are still a solid solution. And you can buy mine at a fraction of the cost of the new one. :)

Does this have a place to attach it to a Tripod with 3/8" screw? Is possible to attach a Chrosziel Matte Box to the ring on the front?
I believe you can attach the base plate of the rails system to a tripod plate with a 3/8" screw. Best to check with Dennis Wood (of Cinevate) to make sure of this though.

These rails are 15.8mm and therefore will not fit the Chroziel mattebox. While many matteboxes will fit on this rig, the Chroziel mattebox is designed for 15mm rails.
