I just purchased an HV30 3 weeks ago. Its a nice cam and is pretty impressive image-wise. I just dont like the workarounds for controlling manually at 1/48 shutter with no gain. I used it with my brevis once. Ive successfully flipped the image vertically and horizontally without any cosmetic damage at all. The unit is in perfect condition. I can either ship as is, if you plan on using a 35mm non flip adapter or I can restore the original orientation. Less than 20 minutes on the heads, 3 weeks old, and ALL original packaging, manuals, inserts, plastic, etc... It will arrive to you as if it was new, straight from the manufacturer.

$785 + shipping (reg price $899 currently at B&H) ***EDIT*** Price reduced to $725

I've sold much equipment on here to happy, fellow 'users.

Void. But hopefully there are adapter users that can benefit from the clean fliphack I've done.

Price reduced to $725.

Also, forgot to mention that I have the 55-72mm step up rings necessary for adapter use, and will include it with the purchase.

Can you tell me more about how difficult it is to control exposure/shutter/gain? I've read that you can really only control one at a time (aka no full manual mode).

Interested in the cam, but would like to know more. Thanks!

You have to use the exposure lock function, and it helps to have device to repeat illimination into the camera's sensor when locking exposure. Done properly, you will lock the cameras setting to 1/48shutter with no electronic gain. Insertion of a miniSD card will allow you to press the photo button halfway and bring up your shutter/iris readings for verification.

Its actually easy, I just wasnt used to it. But I only used it twice so I didnt give it much of a run or chance to get used to. This weekend I decided to keep the cam after previewing some of its footage on a 42" flat panel, but then I got a potential buyer who I'm meeting tomorrow here in NYC. Will update if the sale finalizes.
