I'm selling a canon FD 24/1.4L which I used all last summer on my GH1.
I'm now shooting 7D so this lens sits on shelf because of incompatible flange distance.
My next cam will probably be scarlet fixed so one again this lens will sit on the shelf therefore I've decided to sell.
These lenses flip for ~$1000 on keh and ebay but mine is faulted so I don't expect to get close to that.
Make me an offer, cash exchange and local meetup. NYC area.
I bought from ebay dealer lukavakeli, his original ad describes the lens better than I ever could, it reads as below.
He states that he doesn't believe the scratch affect images and I never noticed anything when shooting with the GH1. Anyone meeting me is welcome to run tests.
His original ebay ad reads
Genuine Canon FD 24mm 1:1.4 L lens in 8.5 cond.
Cosmetics are 9.5+ (shows very light wear on the barrel. NO DINGS. NO DENTS).
Mechanics are 10 (Focus is tight and smooth. Aperture blades are oil-free clean and snappy).
Optics are 8.5 (Glass has about 2mm size hairline scratch off center. You might see it on the front photo off the center on the left. Inside has slight dust. NO HAZE. NO FUNGUS).
Very sad to find that scratch on the glass. Without that scratch the lens is easily mint.
The scratch on the front element shouldn't affect the picutes, it's very small.
Serial number is:17926.
Made in Japan.
Filter size 72mm.
This is manual focus Canon FD lens for Canon FD system: A1, AE-1, AE-1P, AT-1, FTB, F1, T50, T70, T60, T90...
NOT FOR CANON EOS.
WILL NOT WORK ON 20D, 30D, 40D, 50D...
Comes as pictured, with Canon caps, Canon BW-72 hood (the hood doesn't lock-on).
