thats a nice lens. you should have had this up earlier when i bought your sticks. I have a nikon mount on my adapter... but heck i wouldnt snagged if just out of inpulse!

This would not work with a 7D because it's an FD mount, and the 7D is EF. It's not possible to have an adapter between the two mount without severely degrading image quality.
The glass itself is perfect. This used to be one of my go-to lens until I bought a 135mm f2. Haven't used it since.
