I have a Beachtek DXA-10 PreAmp that I've modified to accept a SecurityMan 3600 mAh battery. The battery is held on by some serious velcro.

I spent the day with the DXA-10 running on full with 48v power- it's been over 10 hours & the battery is finally down to the last power bar (of 4) remaining... I think that's quite an improvement over the original single 9v battery operation!
