I just upgraded to a mac pro so I no longer need my iMac.

iMac G5
1.8GHZ
1GB Ram (Upgradable)
OS X 10.4.1.1
Westinghouse 17" Monitor
Apple mini-dvi - dvi cable included

$850 obo

$800 for a Powermac 1.8 iMac? i dont mean to ruin your parade but thats waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much. A 1.8 Powermac is only worth about $400 TOPS TOPS TOPS. Anything 'PowerMac' from the G5 series is obsolete now. Apple doesnt even support it anymore. Anything that has come out in the past 3-4yrs is more than likely not compatible with a 'PowerMac' and about 85% of video related things are only Intel-Based compatible.

and another thing..10.6 is out now..that mac wouldnt even be able to handle 10.5 let alone 10.6
 
yeah, i wasnt going to say anything, but since it seems others have - i'll sound in to support the sentiment. thats too much money. you can pick up a small mackbook with a CURRENT processor and twice that ram for about $850. and monitors are cheap cheap cheap these days.

id say youd be very lucky to expect even $500 for that setup. but you'll probably have to go ebay or craigslist for that. as most folks here are pretty knowledgeable about machine specs.
 
exactly..any person with a brain knows you can just log onto www.apple.com and buy a brand new up to date 2.66ghz intel duo iMac with 4gb ram and a way more powerful graphics card for about $1100..or you could even find up to date iMacs used on Craigslist for about $700 to be honest.

Till this day i dont understand why people idolize macs and put them on a pedastool and slap a insane price tag on it. A mac is just like a PC the newest model is old within a matter of days.
 
ok, anwar. we've all made realistic points about dubs pricing. lets not get offensive or make this a mac/pc discussion.
