For sale i have a 2g 8gb iPhone. This thing is in 100% cosmetic and functioning order. Only one problem, the digitizer is cracked! The phone still works 100%, but it has a crack at the top. I did this today, while I was taking the phone out of my pocket, dropped it and cracked the screen. The part on ebay is $25 to replace it and is an easy fix. Phones in the same condition go on ebay for $300+, I will give you this for $200! If you'd like, I will unlock and jailbreak it for you before I send it out. Please get back to me with any questions/inquires.

if the part is $25
and you're selling it for $200

but together you say you can get $300+
you should put the part on yourself and make an extra $75
and it would be SLIGHTLY more appealing looking to buyers.

Only problem is
AT&T sells 8gig 3G refurbs right off their site for $99 w/ contract
which most people would sign up for anyway.

but anyone looking for an iphone here/ebay/craigslist clearly already have a contract and are just looking for a phone, in which case, you said $300, but I got a new iphone, I'd really just like to cover what i can without having to order new parts and replace it and whatnot

Wait, what exactly does it need? On ebay I see glass only for $25 or glass plus digitizer/touchscreen/LCD for $130...

im with AT&T
I have the same PLAN (not contract) that you need with an Iphone.
The CONTRACT is just a commitment for 2 years.

the 8 gig refurb is $99 with a commitment.
an 8 gig NEW is $200 (3G not 2G like yours)
and yours is also majored F'ed up!

I'd like to know if someone in your place broke your phone and you had a commitment already.
how much would your replacement phone cost?

Hey i hope u sell it just seems odd to me.

LOL u said "This thing is in 100% cosmetic and functioning order." do you know that it has a huge crack on the screen? thats a cosmetic problem!!! and this is a rip off, this is the first generation iPhone, I got the iPhone 3G off cragislist pretty much new only a month old for $300 best investment I ever made!

youll be lucky to even get $50 for this because i doubt thats a $25 fix... sorry 2 burst ur bubble...

eBay has iPhones whith no cracked screens for nearing $300, this just has a broken digitizer, the outer most piece of glass. It's a $25 part on eBay. That's great that you got a 3g for $300, but I'm not asking $300

as silly as the add is, the guy is very honest about his product and shows you before you buy unlike some sellers here.

because last thing I need is complaints, my phone ringing off the hook and people unsatisfied. I've been scammed before, I wouldn't do it to other people, I'm just trying to get rid of it.

He is right. A week ago I sold my 2G 8gig on eBay to some dude in the Ukraine for $350. I don't know why they sell for that much, and it might be totally retarded that they do, but there is a market and Strobe is telling the truth.

Also, I've seen people replace the digitizer/glass, and it doesn't involve more than a heat gun and double-sided tape. Even the cracked iPhone on eBay go for a decent amount b/c people fix them and turn them over for more money. As he said, the parts can be bought for $30. There are a bunch of people trying to charge a premium, up to $150 that I've seen, but the glass/digitizer can be bought for $30. I suspect that our friend Strobe does not want to got through the hassle of doing that. I know I plan to sell a cracked 3G on ebay very shortly.

All that said, I don't know that DVXUser is the place to drive the kind of demand that you can get out of ebay. So you might have better results there. Make sure you open it to International sales and only accept PayPal.

Just b/c this sale doesn't make sense to you, doesn't mean it doesn't make perfect sense to someone else. So unless you have something decent to say, keep your snarky comments to yourself.
