I have a full nice set of Minolta MD mount 35mm primes lenses I’m ready to pass on. They are a hand-selected group of some of the best lenses Minolta ever manufactured, and Minolta was the first choice of many professional photographers in the 70’s and 80’s. In fact, I bought several of these lenses from an original owner who photographed for National Geographic in the early 80’s.
I have been using these with my HVX200 and Letus Extreme, with beautiful results. All of these lenses have been thoroughly tested and used by myself in several shorts, commercials and documentaries, and are optically great. They may have slight brassing on the barrels, a little dust inside or tiny marks on the glass, but nothing that would show up in photographs or footage.
They are equal or superior to all the Nikon equivalents I’ve used, with the added benefit of having the focus ring turn in the same direction as cinema lenses, making the focus puller’s job more intuitive. The ONLY reason I’m letting these go is to help pay for a Zeiss ZF set. Below is a list of the lenses, as well as a couple of photos. More photos and information can be viewed at:
