Fs-100

A client just came in asking me about it.
He just got his HVX and is very confused.
What can I tell him about it??

I can't provide anymore information than what Focus has on their own site.

One of the downers about the drive is that you cannot record natively.(It stinks for those folks looking to use it for timelapse below the standard 12fps. Of course, being able to get 4 hours of 2fps footage on an 8GB P2 card should be enough. :>P) Now this could be a firmware/software upgrade down the line, but why not include it at "launch?"

The concern I still have with the FS-100 is the fact that their own white sheet hasn't changed since it was posted 11/05/2005.

I wouldn't want to be the beta tester on it, either. Give me native streaming to the FS-100, and we'll talk.

Update on it, Ive had mine ordered for a while. Focus is making the drive, and panasonic is the sole sellar of it. that said, you can only get the mounting kit through focus, at around 150.00usd. the drive currently has been allocated by panasonic, since so many orders hit all at once, i ordered mine day one, and should have it end of may, if panasonic didnt allocate it, i would have had it friday. focus can send you a spec sheet on it if you email or call them about 100 times or so.
