If anyone is interested, I have been using a 12v lead acid battery to power my fs-100 for some time now with no problems. I have a 12v to 15v dc converter attached to the battery and it came with the right plug for the fs-100. the whole thing cost about $50 and I have it in a backlpack on my back due to the weight. Oh and it lasts all day....
