From Firestore to drive??

Hey i'm shooting with HVX, this weekend. I'm using a firestore for the first time, can i dump all files onto an external harddrive or do i need to go from firestore directly to FCP?
 
If you're using the Quicktime recording mode, you should be able to copy the files directly from the FS-100 to your editing station.

If you're using the P2 recording mode, you *must* use the Organize P2 command before you copy the files off.
 
Yeah, you can transfer files from the FireStore to a hard drive. I use a laptop and a small portable hard drive to copy files to when I need to hand them over to a client on the job.

If you're shooting in P2 mode and want to transfer files to a drive on location, do what Barry said and make sure you transfer the whole "CONTENTS" folder.
