From darkness, how bout some light

I'm trying to resurrect some footage of a buddy performing in a club. Audio is not bad but it was filmed in a club with cruddy lighting. Below are 11 seconds, 1 clip is untouched, the other with a CC filter, maybe a bit overdone but just to show you what's actually in the picture.

I could really use some help with tips or any suggestions of other filters to use and how to use 'em from FCP, FCS or other software, though unless it's cheap, 'other' may not be possible.

There is an extra "h" in "http" on the second link, just FYI.

While I'm sure the detail in the image could be coaxed out a little better you are pretty much looking at varying degrees of ugly, IMO. If you can upload a a little bit of the source footage in its native format I can take a stab at it in Color if you'd like.

You really can't save that footage Elmer.

Instead, desaturate to make it look "cool" and perhaps add the lyrics in the black space to the left.
 
@Andrew--Hi Andrew--Yes, it'll probably take a miracle, but a guy can hope. Look, I'd love for you to try something.

I made a QT Movie standalone and uploaded that to my website that you can download, though if there's a problem I can send it to your email via yousendit.com. It's only 42mb. For some reason it seems to load completely before playing, maybe cause I got a new version of DW and it does things differently from the old version. Sorry.
