Friends For Life - RELEASED

Just watched your film...I liked the story but I found it a little confusing. I had to watch it a few times because I really wanted to comment on it. I thought there could have been a bit more shown, to really let the viewer know what was happening & help the story flow better...Or maybe I'm just stupid and didn't follow it well. LOL. The outside shots were a bit over exposed so the look of the film was pretty harsh and some of the cuts were too abrupt. I also felt some of the angles of the conversation at the table between the mom and the therapist were too overdone. It was a simple conversation, but IMHO, the angles felt all over the place. It wasn't a bad film. The great thing is that you did it and you finished it so congrats on that! One last note, I'd cut the credits down in the beginning. They were just too long for a short. The credits at the end, I'd roll them over the live footage instead of most of them being on a black screen & the end over live footage. If that makes sense...But again, good job on getting one in the can. Hope to see more from you soon!

Thanks for the comments!!! Yeah you are not the only one who was a little confused. Could be the way I told the story...it's so hard when I know it from the get go so I assume audiences knows as much as I do...but how is that possible since you haven;t seen the script :)

I agree on the over exposed sections and the color correction come off as harsh. We meant for the outside to be "drabbish" I guess but in some parts I think it is a little too much..but that is because of the footage I shot.

The shots in the conversation confuse me since I'm not really sure what you mean but I will try and work on that for the next one.

Thanks again for watching and leaving some feedback.

Sweet Jesus, your intro credits are long. I skipped forward to make sure there was actual footage somewhere, then got distracted by something else.

I have a theory that the quality of a short film is inversely proportional to the length of its opening credits. I didn't stick around to find out whether this is true for yours.

Ok...thanks for the attempt :) Sorry for the long credits...I thought it added to the story with the drawings...there is a slight connection...most people do enjoy it...or they think it needs work :)
