- Trying to find a good tree house to do the shoots from. A couple spots lined up.

It is being shot in Mishawaka, IN.

Teaser? Nothing yet I haven't started shooting yet. Still Casting :)

**Update**

Casted 3 Characters of the 5. Once I cast everyone I will put up their pictures.

Pool Scene - Park Department got back with me and are asking when I need in. So that is awesome.

Found a tree house at my Father-in-Law's place but it is 1 1/2 hours away...which sucks.

**UPDATE**

THE CAST

Dr. Young

Frank
Abe Jensen - This will be the 4th movie I have worked with Abe and I'm sure he'll pull off his character perfectly.

Rob
Nolan Oakes - This will be the first time I work with Nolan but for his young age of 10 he has already been in several short films and is playing "Oliver" in "Oliver" starting September 30th down in Indy on the big stage.

Jake
Nicholas Kruger - This will be the first movie that Nicholas has starred in.

I'd post pictures but I shutdown my actual rtkiiiprod website.

**UPDATE**

Shooting dates
Oct 30th and Nov 6th!!!!

Hopefully this will give enough time to edit by the end of November!

**UPDATE**

I thought we were going to run into a snag with our shooting. The mother of the Nolan said they could not shoot Oct 30th and hoped we could shoot Oct 23. Well lucky for us the scheduling of the pool and the other cast members were available. So we did the scenes with the young cast and it went off nicely. We had a bit of rain that managed to disappear when we needed to do our outside shots...so that was awesome.

I have cut and editied about 780% of the footage. Just need to add in the music, clean up some audio and have a buddy do the color correction. Nice to see this moving along.

Next shoot date is Nov 6th..after that the only Deadline is to get it finished by Novemeber 30th!

Pretty good. I only had one part that hissed and I cleaned that up in Soundbooth. I know you only asked because you are a sound pro... :)

But thanks :)

Saturday in the last half of the shoot and I have my shots planned out in OnLocation CS5 so we will see how that goes. First time using it but excited for the direct to HDD recording.

Using the newly created softbox a buddy and I made...It's huge but should do the trick with a 30W light bulb inside it and a nice sheer fabric on the front.

**UPDATE**

Wrapped up our second weekend of Shooting this past Saturday. I must say it is nice to work with actual actors,....you don;t have to do one line..cut. another line...cut...they read through their whole scene each time. Wow that makes everything so much easier :)

I talked with on of the cast - Steve and found out he starred in Virtuaosity, 3rd Rock From The Sun and News Radio - short spots but he was there. also he was on the set of Jurrasic Park for 3 days and had a whole spell of lines...that didnt make it in and got paid 46K - Wow!!!!! I think I'm in the wrong business.

Any back to the shoot - everything went well except for the inconsistant buzzing of the fridge. I knew I should've unplugged it...oh well I guess that is what SoundBooth is for.

PEditing is about 90% done. Just need to tweak the music, remove the hissing from the fridge mentioned above and do some fine tuning with the clips and whatnot.

This will easily be ready for Nov 30th Deadline.

**UPDATE**

Finished and rendered the first version of the film(minus the color correction) Overall I am happy with how it has turned out. I think there are a couple minor issues I might tweak but I don;t know if that is because I am disecting it down to the millisecond and I have watched it 100 times. I am going to have the cast and crew watch it this weekend and get their take.

Once I get that info I will tweak it and then release it.

I will post a link on youtube in this thread for the finished product.

Thanks to all who are interested :)

****UPDATE****

I have release a Version out for the cast and crew to get some ideas on what they thought of it. I have not listed it as public.

It would be nice to get some feedback from someone who has never read the script or have been involved in the production at all. I did not know if anyone would be interested in giving me some feedback on this before the public release. Just post in here and I will PM you the link to youtube.

Thanks,
Rich

I received some pretty good feedback with the 10-15 people that I allowed to watch it. Overall it seemed positive. There were a couple viewers who were lost so I will do my best to make it a little more coherent for everyone. Plan to release this publicly next week sometime.
