I was transfering some footage from the HVX200 to a small external bus powered Hdd via P2cms. The transfer went great until the last clip with around 100mb still left to go it just seemed to hang. I left it for around 10 minutes but no good so I killed everything. On restarting the Mac and the HVX all I get getting was "connecting" then after around 2 seconds "disconnect" I was able to repeat this 5+ times
What worries me is I then tried to connect a 2TB Lacie d2 Hdd via FW400 and it all fired up but refused to show on the desktop or even via Disk Utillity.... holly cow! The blue light on the front of the drive keeps pulsing on and off. I tried it with another 2TB d2 and same thing!
Anyone got any ideas?
If it is fried FW is it going to be in the HVX or my Mac or both? i guess the costs to repair are going to be errrrr.... large?
Cheers
