I use my monitor to color correct - I have it matched to NTSC standards. I also have a TV hooked up as a second monitor so if Im not sure I drag the preview window over and do a check. My stuff looks a little different on every TV as does everything, no point in a 900$ 13" TV if its gonna look different anyways.
DVmaker - I didn't story board, never have... it's too limiting for me and with the way I cut it would be near impossible. Plus it takes away from the spontaneity and fun on set.
This video was done for a real artist who contacted me with the offer. He also paid for the whole shindig. I wanted to start putting some "real" work on my reel. Anyways the video is meant to be visually entertaining... you're correct that there is no real message behind it besides free your mind (ha ha) and a few little hints of the artists past (besides a crystal meth addiction... Then again…). I knew right off the bat from his music and a video I saw of him performing that the only way this was going to be liked by anyone of the heterosexual male persuasion was if there was a smoking hot girl doing some innocent naughty business. Give it a chance when you see it in full and enjoy it for what it is. Some of my videos will mean something to me and will hold a message... others wont. I had fun working on this and am glad I took part. It’s a fun vid and is meant to be just that.
