For about a year, I used the demo of Final Draft.

You can write up to 15 pages, but you can't print. I'd write 15 pages, take screenshots of each of them, put them in word, open up a new file, and continue.

...that's not very reasonable, but I heard you can download things that format Microsoft Word to use the screenplay format. I guess that's not mac compatible though.

I'll third OldCorpses suggestion.
Celtx is a great program - made even better by the fact that it's free.

thanks guys, currently have CELTX and I love it.

I'm not sure if it's Mac-compatible, but I found Cynergy to be better than Celtix, less buggy, and the same price.

I have Final Draft but use Celtx for my shorts. It's great for the reasons I'm using it and in the reports. Works wonders for a small production in getting the call sheets together and in pre-production and scheduling. I haven't experienced any bugs yet.

I tried Final Draft's demo but got rid of it cause of the hassle, for a while I was using Microsoft Word's Screenplay template until I found Celtx. I'm looking forward to thier next update.
