I am a professional, insured and experienced photographer looking to expand my wedding portfolio prior to the summer season. I consider myself a fineart photographer (as apposed to a journalistic approach) I shoot with the Canon 5D Mark II, L series lenses and remote flashes. I also bring along a lighting assistant because I never use on-camera flash which can be unflattering. I am offering my services for free but in return I ask 2 things:
1. You pay for any equipment (lenses, lighting) I have to rent based on your event. For a typical event, I have to spend around $150 on renting gear.
2. You give me the right to use your photos on my website, portfolio or entry into wedding photo contests.
Responding to this ad doesn't guarantee you will be selected for a free wedding. I will be choosing couples that are getting married based on the following criteria:
- Your wedding hall/location - Since these photos are for my portfolio, a nice wedding hall is an important factor for a nice backdrop. (especially considering that there aren't as many opportunities for outdoor shots during the winter.)
- Date and time of the event (Friday and Saturday weddings are not available so no need to respond if your event is on any of these days in the week)
- Your wedding is taking place in the next 3 months or so
- Size of your wedding. I'm looking for weddings that are between 100-300 people. More or less will also be considered.

- Name
- Where you will be getting married
- Date and time of event
- Approximate number of people that will be attending
- Type of ceremony (Jewish, Hindu etc.)
