I hope that it is ok to post this. If not, feel free to delete.

I am starting a new HDSLR meetup group in Dallas.
This group will meet on a regular basis in the D/FW area to explore new techniques and equipment related to HDSLR photo and video production.

Our first meetup will be a workshop on Magic Lantern Camera Raw Sunday July 28th with Ted Ramasola. For more information and to sign up, please go to:
www.meetup.com/Dallas-HDSLR/
It is completely free.

Thanks,
Steve

This is a great thing. Since you're doing it for free would it be possible to make a video of this and post on the web for those not living in Dallas?

Thanks!

I don't think we will be able to film it at the meetup, but I'll ask Ted if we can shoot a video. He stopped by last week and he really knows the ML workflow.

Wish I could be there but at the moment in Alaska getting ready to head back to New Zealand. Will you have one later this year? I should be in Florida and not sure how long of a drive it is to Dallas but might be a fun trip???? What are hotels cost in that area?

It's a pretty long drive from Florida to Dallas. I was planning on having these every 2 months if enough people are interested. I am looking forward to doing a little networking, playing around with some cool toys and having an excuse to drink some beer.

Sounds like a good time Paul. Thanks for organizing and I will try to make it. How close are you to Deep Ellum Brewery?

Walking distance.
2814 Main Street, 2 doors down from the Curtain Club. It should be a great meetup. Ted came by last week and showed me some really cool things about the new Canon Raw. He really helped out.

We will be experimenting with these sessions as podcasts. It seems like there is interest and no reason not to share knowledge. Distance may only be an issue at swap meets :)
