That guy has been practicing that for awhile. He is rock solid.

Frank, I saw this video about 6 months ago and I tried it on a shoot I was on. It does work and yes, it takes some practice to make the shot usable. But it is a good trick to have up your sleeve. I should practice this more and get better at it.

a folded up tripod and a LOT of practice, one could pull off usable steadicam type shots as well, holding the legs and using the pan n tilt to compensate...have yet to see the perfect example, but i've done it before with decent results.
