freaked out HVX (chip issue?)

anyone ever have this issue? the iris stops working although the flip out monitor reads that stops opening and closing on the fstop scale...it visibly is not stopping down or opening up as the brightness stays the same...I tried a hard reset, but that didn't fix it.

I was able to use the in camera ND filter to control exposure, but after setting white balance, the camera/chip freaked out. the color went super saturated and very contrasty with streaks and other artifacts in frame.....it was a very cool look actually, but don't want to use the camera like this......


Any ideas?

What the... hang the F on! See my post about sand! Now I am starting to think it wasn't the sand at all!!!!!

My Iris motor went out and the camera behaved the exact same way yours did. Cost me 1200 bucks. They seemed to know exactly what the problem was when I called it in. Hmmmmm Maybe it's a known fault. Grrrrrr

Okay I'm gonna keep my conspiracy theory thoughs at bay and pretend it's just a fluke. Either way I would go direct to Panni for the repairs. They are fast, smart and pretty damn cool even if they are the MAN.
