frame-rates and sound

[themagickite]

how does sound fit into the variable frame rate mode?

does it record sped up/slowed down sound?

or no sound?
and if so how do people usually record/edit their sound for those time bending shots?

Sound isn't recorded during variable frame rate recording.

You could record externally, and speed it up or slow it down to match the video if you wanted to.

Another option would be to record 60fps or 50fps as allowed by your HVX model, slow the video down in post, and do a pitch shift on the audio to try to bring it back to "normal".
