so.. I know I'm a little bit retarded when I ask this, but I'm really new to this and I want to learn..

(I've worked alot more with photography than video)

so.. I saw this:

"What shutter speeds does the HVX200 support?
Regular shutter speed.
60i/60P mode: 1/60 (OFF), 1/100, 1/120, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000, 1/2000 sec.
30P mode: 1/30, 1/50 (OFF), 1/60, 1/120, 1/250, 1/500,1/1000 sec.
24P/24PA mode: 1/24, 1/50 (OFF), 1/60, 1/120, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000 sec."

the "60P" is 60 in frame rate, right?

frame rate..

then if the frame rate is 60P.. how can the shutter do 1/2000?

isn't the shutter speed only "how much light the camera takes inn pr. picture" or something?

I'm abit confused (and retarded...)

the 1/2000 at 60P means 60 frames per second with each frame being "exposed" (or whatever you want to call it with a ccd) for 1/2000th of a second. You cant however shoot 60P 1/30th - each frame is only there for 1/60th of a second 1/30th would cover two frames and i dont think thats a good idea... Think about like a still camera where you just shoot lots of pictures in a row.

ah, yeah that was sort of what I was thinkin, I think I got the names mixed up a bit..

thanks alot m8!
