Frame rate question...

Hi - im going to hire an HVX200 to shoot a music video. Ive never used any HD stuff before, and I really want to shoot the video in standard definition (it wont be shown anywhere that supports HD, so its just added complication).

What I want to know is this.... I see that in 720 mode, you can shoot 48p, which is exactly what I want (for slow motion). But this doesn't seem to be available in 480 mode. Is that right? Seems weird that you can only get all these cool frame rates in 720 mode, and not in 480...

You can always dub it from your P2 card to SD tape in the camera.....

Correct, you'd have to shoot in 720p/24 @ 48fps. Then for editing you could dub it in-camera down to tape and go from there.
