Frame Rate Hack - Does it work with the HMC150?

I saw this video on YouTube for a frame rate hack for the HVX200. Has anyone tried it wih the HMC150? Thought I would ask before I spent time trying it out.

If it does work it sems like this would be great for time lapse footage.

The frame rate hack only works on the HPX and HVX. What it allows you to do is shoot at 2fps (ex.) in PN mode, which is called under cranking a shot. Over cranking would be any frame rate over your base frame rate. The HMC150 does not have the ability to shoot variable frame rates.

I guess I'll just have to do the 5hr recording deal at 720/24p to get a time lapse effect.

Even though you cannot do the hack by changing the variable frame rate that the HVX & HPX have could you do it by changing the frame rate for the recording mode 720/24p and make it into 720/2p in the default? I could also just be totally confused.
