Frame rate for a promotional DVD:

I am going to be starting a shoot shortly for a promational DVD and I have recently purchased the DVX100a. I would rather shoot in 30p or 24p then the 60i setting because of the look but I don't know if there are any technical advantages or disadvantages for shooting in any one of the three frame rates for DVD output.

They're all fine for DVD output. If you edit in native 24P, you'll be able to make a 24P DVD, which will save a small amount of space (6 frames per second). That way you could store more footage, or encode at a higher bitrate - depending on what you were wanting to do - with the same length movie.

If you're ending on DVD, any of the DVXs frame rates will work just fine - so pick the one you like the aesthetic of the most.
