ok...i am posting these for "iamloser".i believe the test image in the other post was his as well. they are just some stills from his current production, as well as some scenic anamorphic grabs- he notes that all were done with natural/practical light only. he is trying to make the whole film that way. some have been color corrected im not sure which ones- ..though all of the scenic ones are untouched.

well, i wouldnt call these a showcase of the porjects work, i just picked some frames out of the last couple shoots, but they do depict the mood of it well. as you can see its a very dark and somewhat depressing film, anyway, comments welcome.

looks very promising.. liked the monochromatic look... rough and dark..
i like to see good examples of the available / practical light approach.. after all, it's finally possible with dvx, especially when the "guerilla" method, as a production necessity fits the contents..

when can we see some moving images?

well ...there is another side to the film that has very light and bright scenes that very much contrast these scenes..theres probably better examples of the natural lighting  in those(these scenes take place at dusk and after dark, so they are extra dark-as they should be i guess), but yeah.. the  desaturated look was chosen to enhance the gloominess, and depression, and sharply contrast the bright and colorful scenes. i dont have any space to post footage, so probably no viewings till its done and on dvd. im trying to keep it under wraps anyway i guess.

the top and bottom scenics were done at full wide on the anamorphic- as you can se there is no noticeable barrel distortion when your outside and at a distance like that, so its nice for vistas or panoramas to be able to go full wide.

These are some really nice grabs. Reminds me of The Deer Hunter. The scenic grabs are very cool with the shadows and sun; nice contrast.

I like the grab in the alley with the 'backlight' effect. I like monochromatic... I like gritty....

Great job.
