Frame Display on DVX-100B

When you turn the camera on, usually, there would display what time code you are currently on. And if not, it would display dashes. My camcorder doesn't display this. Instead, it tells me what Frame I'm shooting in. So if i'd shooting at the setting of 24P Advanced and Scene File F6, it will display "FR 24PA". Other displays with other settings would be "FR 24P", "FR 60I" and so on. No one seems to know how to change this back. Please help.

I have another question now.
a DVX100a shoots squeezed 16:9
I own that DVX100b and did the same (squeezed 16:9)
In editing, the editor was unable to use my footage from DVX100b because the black bar wasn't the exact same 16:9 as DVX100a.
I hope I've made this clear enough and simple enough for an answer.

Press the "counter" button inside the LCD panel.

Don't know about the squeeze thing; they should be identical AFAIK.
