FPS question

Wasn't sure where to post this because I don't know which camera is capable of this. I know a phantom can shoot at 1,00 fps . Are there any consumer or cheaper alternatives to renting the phantom for 2k a day. Basically does any other camera shoot anywhere close to this many frames per second?

I am assuming that is a typo, you meant 1,000 fps. I don't have an answer, but I think that 60 fps is pretty much max for prosumer equipment like the Panasonic HPX170 and HVX200.

If you want 1000fps you need the Phantom. No consumer camera does this, no camera under $20,000 does this. Many higher end cameras don't do this. You need a specialty camera that is designed to shoot this many fps...like the phantom.
