Four Eyed Monsters, a DVX created feature film, has just received distribution through withoutabox.com's new self distribution division. The film is blend of documentary and fiction, which takes a completely fresh approach to modern dating and modern filmmaking. The two directors created a grassroots following through their video podcasts (documenting the continuing of their relationship, and indeed the film itself) which were posted at iTunes and myspace.com. Over 50,000 people have downloaded each episode, and 3 new episodes premiere at Slamdance tonight.
I was one of the lucky few who have seen the film, and I feel as though it is one of the freshest films I have ever seen, truly a new dawn in style, vision and self promotion.
