Fotodiox M mount adapter light leak!

I was shooting today (bright sunny day) with the Voigtlanter 35mm on the Fotodiox M mount adapter, and I was shocked to see a big and BRIGHT splodge of intrusive light in the image. Stopping down didn't change anything. (I had a big lens hood on, too.)

Using a piece of plastic to selectively block the incoming light, I traced it to the joint between the lens and the adapter, about 1/2" above the release button on the adapter. This only happened with the sun basically at right angles to the camera. I solved it by draping a lens cloth over the top of the lens barrel...

Anyone else seen this? Do other M-mount adapters have this problem?

I know it can happen with certain (ahem, 'cheaper') Nikon adaptors too, and it's because it lacks a certain baffle in the design. Philip Johnston over at HDwarrior.co.uk keeps an opaque sweatband (sort of Nun's Lingerie rather than Knickers, if you see what I mean) to prevent any light leakage. I've not experienced this yet with my MTF Nikkor adaptor, but may have a poke around with a Dedo spot to see if I can induce it.

Thanks! Being unfamiliar with the undergarments mentioned, I will try to find a substitute.... ;-)

Anyone know if the Voigtlander adapter is better? The Fotodiox is imperfect in other ways, like there's some rotational play in it (so when I turn the focus, the lens "clunks" around a little before the focus starts moving). But the Voigtlander one is a little pricey...

Every adapter (even the expensive ones) with a lever instead of a knob can do that.
Nothing a little black gaffa tape on the inside, under the lever can´t fix.

I lined mine with black muslin ( you can also use velvet) to lower internal reflections too - works like a charm.
