Tested on a7sii and works as advertised, no issues I've read about (problems communicating between camera and lens) occurred. No vignetting apparent (tested on full frame Canon 24-70 II & 24-105mm) and no black cross at high density that is typical of screw-in vari-nds. No noticeable affect of picture quality/color, though did not extensively test. Have not used beyond this test, have not had occasion to and am probably selling my a7sII in near future. So would grade as 'like new'.
One note on mounting: the mount to camera is rather tight. Feels like it shouldn't attach, but it does and is very secured. Removing is also tough - you will be scared that it is stuck! It's not. The lenses attachment is secured well though not SUPER tight, on par with Metabones and other adapters.
Again, because not extensively used I can not vouch for the product beyond saying that upon basic testing it appears to work as advertised. I would say in response to controversial reviews that maybe electronic issue has been resolved in latest batches, to questions of build quality - it appears very robust and ND ring turns very smoothly. But it is a relatively inexpensive device for the service it provides, I would baby it, be careful using heavy lenses and when mounting it to camera/mounting lenses.
