Fotodiox 32" Bi-color LED light review

Great review. Thanks.

Good looking product.

The super flat design of the housing looks INCREDIBLY useful... like a godsend.

At $1,000 US it's not cheap, but putting out a real 1k equivalent already softened and as flat as it is - man, this is THE LED LIGHT for so many purposes that traditional 1'x1' panels just fail at.

REALLY digging this light!

That is impressive. It's amazing how far LEDs have come just in the last 6 months. 1000 bucks is not cheap but when you look at what you are getting it doesn't seem nuts either.

It looks very useful and I want one, but don't know how practical it would be to transport and store it. Anyone have a suggestion for a good case to hold such a beast, that wouldn't weigh more than the light itself?

Artist Portfolios!

I have a couple I use for all my gels, gobos, cookies, and flags etc., This light would fit in one with ease.

Thanks for your review. I have a 4 bank Cool Light flo light that I usually use for interviews but I am always scared to breaking a bulb if I change the color temp. I like the look of this light. After using it, would you hesitate to replace a flo fixture with this light or even the 20" model they offer? The lack of barn doors is a bit of a drawback in some instances.

I recently sold off ALL my Kino flos and am replacing with LEDs. Fotodiox has a number of different models of their "Flapjack" LED- saw this big light on their Youtube channel- NAB 2015.

I've been looking for a way to get rid of my 4x4 Kinos, and I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. Kino Flo will also release their LED Select lights soon- same form factor as the classic coroplast kinos with Celeb-like LED. I image they will be pricey and these Fotodiox units turned out to be a good alternative.

Posting another review now.

I like the idea of these..and have been considering them...more the smaller C300 and C700. But I could see that green tint right away in the tungsten example..the daylight in the example was a bit weak to get a good comparison. Is it better if you manually white balance to the light?

Fotodiox contacted me- apparently this light is not for sale in the USA yet- they were also not happy with the ebay seller so I trimmed the info off the back of the video.
