Fotga products - Ebay

I've got some of their simple rod clamps. They are better than other ultra-cheap ebay options.

I wonder about their mattebox. My main concern would be about the filter holders. The model of the holder looks quite sturdy (got a similar one) but I wonder about the rotation and the possible light entry from the corners:

Other than this, I have one similar to the Fotga models and it's ok for entry-level use. I don't use it everyday, so expensive models aren't an option for me.

Thanks for the opinion guys. I tried to search for some reviews but it was difficult to find any info. I think that for the price I may as well give them a go. Apparently that mattebox above has a fixed filter tray in the front and the rear one rotates. It would be nice if both could rotate but I think I can make due. If I buy I will get the one with the flag system as I prefer that.

When/if I buy these I will post some opinions/impressions.

Thanks again!

I have the rail system in your first link (or very similar) absolutely a good price and I wouldn't call it crap. Perhaps the bolt to mount the camera is a little flimsy, if I recall. (some slight stripping on screw head, not the threads) but the rails themselves are solid and nothing ever has come loose during shooting.

I would probably (depending on quality) use a stronger bolt and I would also be adding a quick release plate for the camera. I looked at the rail system that included a quick release and it seemed "ok" but I'd prefer to choose my own.

I have one that is working the same and it ain't bad. You usually use the rotating one for Grads or Polarizing filters only. NDs can be used as "static" without problems.

Flags can be made using metal sheet or can be bought separately. The swing-away system would be the deal for me here. The one I have simply have a 15mm raiser and I (most of the time) have to lose or remove the MB from the rails in order to slide the camera off the quick release (due to the lens and the lens gear on it).
